Thank you to fellow yogis and yoginis!
Charlene Sanderson & I have taken Tannice's classes for more than ten years in Port Hope. I don't believe you will find a more knowledgable and caring teacher. Tannice is a wonderful leader and the finest example of loving kindness. / Chris Sanderson, https://luminous-landscape.com/author/chris-sanderson/
Yoga with Tannice helped change my life. Her classes are unusual in the best sense — rich territory for self-exploration and increasing strength and flexibility. Rather than leading a predictable stream of postures one after the other, she allows time for transition, and for students to ask their own bodies and souls what is needed. She truly wants you to discover the yoga teacher inside you, the only one that can ultimately lead to wholeness. Her knowledge of the body on anatomical and subtle levels is extensive. I would say that the beauty of her teaching comes most of all from her own depth of continued self-inquiry and transformation. / Ann Marie C., http://www.innerdiamondcards.com/
My Experience With Yoga
It has been my great fortune to have Tannice Goddard as the person who introduced me to Yoga. I've attended classes over the past 5 years or more and the practice has become an integral part of my life.
One of the most important lessons I have learned through Yoga classes with Tannice, is the importance of breathing through the exercises.
Breathing is essential for all living beings and most of us are not aware of how it nurtures us. We are aware of our breath when we have over-exerted ourselves or, for example, if we find ourselves in an overcrowded room, but most of the time it goes unnoticed.
Becoming aware of the breath, through Yoga, is a liberating experience. I have learned to use breath to control feelings of anxiety and to maintain calmness. Deep breathing can lessen pain and make it possible to remain in control of one's emotions. It gives oneself a feeling of calmness and sense of being in charge of difficult situations.
Experiencing deep relaxation through breathing can provide the body with rest and a feeling of well-being.
There are many, many more benefits to practicing Yoga and I would strongly recommend Tannice to lead you through it.

The body loves balance. With Tannice’s yoga classes, it helps to balance my fitness, both cardio and strength, and allows me to feel more centred and peaceful. Her gentle practice is effective. With Tannice’s vast knowledge, she always is able to offer an alternative to a pose should you have any difficulty. I have taken classes with Tannice for 15 years and she, as a teacher, is also a keen learner for new practices and poses. Tannice is a fantastic teacher! / Alasdair Gillespie, Fine Art America: Alasdair Gillespie, http://alasdairgillespie.zenfolio.com
I have learned so much from Tannice ... she has made a real difference in my life. / Jane C.
Tannice is the reason I am so involved in yoga today, 12 years later. When I started her classes, I could attend only sporadically due to full time work and extensive travel. In 'life after work' I could thoroughly engage. There is no one finer, empathetic and interested in helping all of us to understand our lovely bodies. She walks around her students and helps with pose adjustments as needed and wanted. Very in depth experience and ongoing training in yoga, with a passion for healthy, happy life.
Sign up! You will not regret it. 😎 / Stephanie M.
This image still makes me laugh! Port Hope Beach, telling me that I am never alone. Even if it is a crazed, beatific, stone pirate telling me that. Lol! Spirit at its best!
Doing yoga with Tannice has kept me healthy & happy & in shape. Reminding me to stay true to myself, to breathe, focus & stay on track. Giving me tools to get myself thru some very difficult times.
My first class with Tannice many years ago was like putting on the perfect pair of shoes or pants ... a perfect fit !
She has given to me the balance & the strengths: the tools I need for everyday life.
Tannice is beyond a wonderful yoga teacher she is a life coach ... she has taught me to find the “energy” in the position before moving fully into it. Like in Tree pose, remain flexible & move with the wind.
Teaching me how to observe what’s going on within.
Releasing & relaxing ... how is my body affected by the pose? Before ’n’ after ...
Yoga practice does not end at the end of a class ... Tannice has also taught me that.
Tannice’s knowledge of anatomy is also outstanding ... one would never injure herself in her class ... contraindications were always offered & a gentle touch sometimes to remind the body of where it is & where it needs to go.
Missing our classes in Port Hope. / Mary B.
I first met Tannice Goddard in January 2002. I then practiced yoga with Tannice until December 2017.
I now practice yoga with two teachers in Northumberland County, who both have taken classes from Tannice.
Tannice, herself, still takes extended teacher training workshops at Esther Myers' Studio to keep her training up-to-date with new discoveries.
I have thoroughly enjoyed being a student and friend with Tannice. / Carol W.
