Yoga
My training is based on the principles of Vanda Scaravelli through Esther Myers’ Yoga Studio in Toronto, where I completed the two-year, certified teacher training.
   After 26 years of teaching, I remain an active member of Yoga Alliance’s National Teacher Association. I have conducted many retreats in ON & B.C., and provided weekly classes at different locations in Ontario.
   Yoga has been the only constant in my life in the last 26 years. Life can be many things, beautiful, complicated, confusing, challenging, joyful, etc. and yoga is the thread that moves within and through all of these mental states. Like the breath in the body. And even through rough patches when I have not been able to teach, I have been able to keep my own practice alive – even if it was scaled back. Yoga doesn't judge us, only we do. There is that beautiful balance of intuition and wisdom – not judgement –  that forms the strong foundation.

Alternative Studies Before Yoga
Exploring a wide variety of alternative healing for my own well-being, I studied Shamanism with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies in the U.S. — an organization created by Michael Harner who was documenting Shamanism throughout the world. I completed the Shamanic Counselling degree with Sandra Harner in the Catskill Mountains of Vermont. Next my journey took me into the language & world of crystals as taught by Helen Murray co-owner of The Crystal Source since 1987. The 25 years of teaching yoga and giving retreats were mixed with my own exploration of Buddhist meditation & practice and another exploration of Mindfullness training. The years of different training integrated, then life circumstances led me to study reflexology with RRCO Reflexology Council of Ontario.
  I have yoga sessions online via zoom, Fridays, 7-8 p.m. (ET). Use the contact for more information and to get a link to join a class.
